About Abi Smith

My photography journey began with a simple goal: helping my mom transition her jewelry business into the world of eCommerce. What started as product photography quickly became something more. I found myself drawn to the creativity of styling, lighting, and telling a story through a single image. Before long, I was photographing weddings and portraits, capturing some of life's most meaningful celebrations and connections.

As my business grew, I expanded into food photography and had the opportunity to work as a freelance photographer for Edge Magazine in Omaha, Nebraska. Through that work, I developed a deeper appreciation for visual storytelling and learned how thoughtful imagery can bring brands, businesses, and experiences to life.

One of the most meaningful projects of my career came when I was asked to photograph a cookbook created to establish a memorial fund in honor of an aspiring chef. The experience reminded me that photography is about more than creating beautiful images. It has the power to preserve legacies, strengthen communities, and support causes that matter.

In 2024, I moved to Seattle with my husband, John, and our Australian Shepherd, Sunny, and I'm excited to reestablish my photography business in the Pacific Northwest. Today, I specialize in event and product photography, combining a storyteller's eye with a strategic understanding of branding and visual marketing.

Whether I'm documenting an event, showcasing a product, or helping tell the story behind a business, my goal remains the same: to create images that feel authentic, engaging, and memorable.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll likely find me exploring Seattle with John and Sunny, supporting local businesses, or finding inspiration in the incredible landscapes and communities of the Pacific Northwest.

I'd love the opportunity to help tell your story.
